- Flipping Coin!
- Red and Yellow Cards and holder [called a Data Wallet]
- Pen or pencil!
- Copy of current FIFA Laws Of The Game [paper copy or digital (i.e. on your phone)]
- Copy of current season’s rules matrix [paper copy or digital (i.e. on your phone)]
- 3x5 cards or something else to write on
- Water
Optional
- Food
- Sunscreen [recommended]
- Extra socks (if you have them); fold them up in a ziplock or similar bag
- Extra shorts (if you have them); fold them up in a ziplock or similar bag
- Other colored ref shirts (if you have them); fold them up in a ziplock or similar bag
- Trash Bag to put your gear bag in if it rains or if the ground is very wet
During cooler/cold days: [strongly recommend]
- Sweatpants (black, if possible or other dark color)
- Sweatshirt (black, if possible or other dark color)
- Knit cap (black, if possible or other dark color)
- Gloves (black, if possible or other dark color)
