Rec Season

Rec families should have heard from your coach by now.  If not, please reach out to our Rec Director, Tiffani, at recdirector@leavenworthsoccer.org.  Practices start next Monday, and games begin April 1st.  We are hard at work finishing up the schedule and will have it to you soon.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

If you are interested in in walking in the St. Patrick’s Day parade with us tomorrow, fill out this short form to join us at the parade! so we can send you details about where to meet.  If you are attending the parade, be sure to look for us on the parade route.

Re-Kicks Swap Meet

Next Tuesday is our Re-Kicks Equipment Swap from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at our south practice fields. Families may donate equipment, swap older items for newer, or simply pick-up gear that your child needs.

Re-Kicks is our community program designed to keep good soccer equipment in circulation and cut the cost of playing the beautiful game. We collect outdoor cleats, futsal/indoor shoes, shin guards, balls, keeper jerseys, uniforms, balls, equipment, and most other things related to youth soccer. The program is open to families in Leavenworth County and our surrounding community, children do not need to play with LSA to participate.

More details can be found at Re-Kicks Swap Meet Info

Competitive Program

Our competitive teams have wrapped up their winter leagues.  Last season our teams competed in several different indoor leagues across the metro.  Some teams played at All-American Indoor sports, this style of indoor play is most similar to what the Kansas City Comets play.  The field has walls and resembles a hockey rink.  Other teams played indoors at Rush Soccer in Olathe.  These games look similar to traditional soccer, just on a smaller field with modified rules, and lastly we had one team playing Futsal with Heartland.  Futsal is a fast passed game played on a hard surface the size of a basketball court.  It is a high scoring and exciting game.  Now they head back outdoors to play in the Heartland League. If you are interested in trying out for our competitive league in June, please contact our Vice President, Roy, at vicepresident@leavenworthsoccer.org for more details.

Academy Program

The Academy program has been on a short hiatus as we transition back to outdoor play.  The program is geared towards individual development and small group training to grow each player based on their progression.  Learning is done in a camp like environment with scrimmages and small-sided games.  Every practice session focuses on: Fun, Fitness, Friendship. We welcome everyone who wants to come and learn to play and have fun together with their friends, and the friends they will make. The Academy Program has a one-time registration fee of $10 and that gives you access to sessions for the entire spring season.  To register, visit https://leavenworthsoccer.org/registration/
